After a quick goal scored by Pat Harris off a penalty corner, the U.S. was unable to put another goal on the board and fell 4-1 in their opening match against Victorian Institute of Sport.

“We managed to get all the guys playing time in our first match in preparation for the Pan Am Cup. We obviously have some focus areas but I am confident that this series will get us in the right direction,” said head coach Chris Clements.

A disappointing loss today for the U.S. Men's Team in their second match against Victoria. The U.S. played a lot stronger in the second half, but unfortunately did not result in any goals scored. The final score of the match was 0-9.

“We came here for great competition and we are getting that," said Clements. "We’re learning a few lessons the hard way but saw a great improvement in the second half today. We are looking to further improve and work towards a good result on Tuesday."

USA vs Victorian Institute of Sport 3-5 (2-2) Watch

After taking the lead twice (2-0) and (3-2) the USA came short of a win in today's matchup against the Victorian Institute of Sport. Victoria scored three unanswered goals in the second half. With a backhand shot by Jon Ginolfi and two penalty corners in the final four minutes the men had chances to come away with a draw or win.

“Today we gave a much better effort than in the first two games against this Victoria team, we just forgot to reward ourselves with a win," said Clements. "At times we certainly showed what we are capable of and we now have our feet back under us and looking forward to the second part of the tour."

7:00 p.m. USA vs Combined State Institute Team 2-6 (1-2) Watch

The U.S. Men took on a very talented Australian side - the Combined State Institute Team. Although the men competed hard for large parts of the game they unfortunately fell 2-6. Aki Kaeppeler
scored twice on a penalty corner and the U.S. came inches away from scoring twice by hitting the Australian post.

“Today was a game with two different faces," said Clements. "We played hard for periods in each half but we must realize that it takes 70 minutes of hard work to win matches against quality
opponents like tonight. We will practice tomorrow and prepare for Saturdays match-up."

The U.S. Men defeated a very strong Australian A side this afternoon in Melbourne. Pat Harris
scored off of a penalty corner in the first half and the U.S. managed to hold their ground the
rest of the game.

“Today was a game in which we showed the progress we have made this week in all
areas," said Clements. "I am sure that the Australians will look to bounce back tomorrow and that will be another great opportunity for us to learn and get a step closer to what we are trying to
