Female Athlete News (FAN), LLC is excited to announce a one-of-a-kind event featuring the new format of the game. FAN will host the first National Hockey5s Chocolate Cup, a USA Field Hockey Sanctioned Event, on July 22 to 24 in Palmyra, Pa.

The 2025 National Hockey5s Chocolate Cup will be played at the In The Net Sports Complex in Palmyra, Pa. and offers playing opportunities for girls, men and women. The event will feature three divisions in each of the U-14, U-16 and U-19 Girls age groups:  Beginners, Developing and Elite. There will be two divisions for the adult group in each gender: Social and Competitive. There is a U-17 Boys Elite division.

The winning teams of the Men’s and Women’s Competitive Divisions will each win $2,000.

Youth clubs may enter a team in every division for a total of nine teams. Rosters are capped at 10 players, with the playing field having four field players and one goalkeeper. Games will follow the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Hockey5s rules with two, 15-minute halves and a 2-minute halftime. There is a four-game guarantee.

    Opens: Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. ET

    Closes: Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET, or early if all spots are filled

    Registration process: Complete the Google Form; FAN will confirm your registration; a nonrefundable $400 deposit will be due no later than December 1, 2024. When FAN confirms your team’s attendance (email or phone number, whichever one your team prefers), you will be given options to make your deposit payment. Each team will be contacted in the order in which we receive registration forms. If you choose email, please be on the lookout for an email from femaleathletenews@gmail.com. The remainder of the balance is due March 8, 2025, along with team names, rosters, and coaches’ names. Coaches and teams will receive FIH rules in March 2025. 

    Cancellation: Teams that want to play but are unable to complete early registration, FAN will keep your contact information confidential and contact you in March if any teams decide not to play. There are limited spaces.
