All Coach and Umpire Members are required to take SafeSport training under the S.534 Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act. The "SafeSport Trained" course helps coaches and umpires recognize if an athlete is being abused. Most importantly, coaches and umpires will learn how to prevent this from happening or how to respond and help if the abuse has already happened. By taking this training, you are a part of USA Field Hockey's daily efforts to make athlete well-being the centerpiece of the nation’s sport programs. Thank you for helping the organization champion respect, and end abuse in sport.
In order to coach at any USA Field Hockey National Event you must be a coach or umpire member. USA Field Hockey strongly encourages all field hockey coaches to be members to gain access to all the benefits, but in order coach at high schools, colleges or clubs you are not required to be a member.
Umpire Memberships are allowed to play, coach, and umpire at USA Field Hockey events. If you coach and umpire we suggest getting an umpire membership. They are the same cost and umpires receive more benefits.
