MUSCAT, Oman - U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Allan Law has announced the team that will compete in the 2025 FIH Hockey Nations Cup 2. Taking place February 17 to 23 in Muscat, Oman, this in augural event gives eight nations the opportunity to play an intercontinental FIH tournament and compete for a chance to be promoted to the 2026 FIH Hockey Nations Cup.
“The U.S. Men's National Team staff and I are excited to announce an experienced group of players selected for Nations Cup 2 in Oman,” commented Law. “Last month, we had a highly productive and positive training camp in Chile, which allowed us to make significant progress as a team. We are eager to build on that momentum and continue our development as we prepare to compete against quality opposition”
The selected roster features a core of veterans, along with a few who have transitioned through from the junior program. Leading the way are Michael Barminski, Ajai Dhadwal, Mohan Gandhi, Patrick Harris and Aki Kaeppeler. Those looking to earn their first international senior caps are Doug Allison and Henzor Motta. The goalkeepers selected are Tristan Clemons and Jonathan Klages.
The non-traveling alternates are Sekayi Charasika, Hamzah Hashmi and Dean Schiller.
Law will be assisted by Brendan Creed and Pat Cota, with Ronan Passmore as the video analyst and Emily Teson as the athletic trainer.
No. 25 USA sits in Pool B with No. 19 Austria, No. 21 Scotland and No. 28 Oman. Pool A consists of No. 17 Egypt, No. 22 China, No. 23 Chile and No. 24 Poland. The Wolves start competition on Monday, February 17 against No. 19 Austria at 7:45 a.m. ET. On Tuesday, February 18 they face hosts No. 28 Oman at 10:00 a.m. ET and finish pool play on Thursday, February 20 against No. 21 Scotland at 7:45 a.m. ET. Crossovers and semifinals will take place on Saturday, February 22, with the finals on Sunday, February 23.
