USA Field Hockey Seeks Nominees for Board of Directors

USA Field Hockey is seeking eligible candidates for an At-Large Director, Independent Directors, Coach Director, and Umpire Director to sit on the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors for a four-year term. Do you enjoy strategic thinking, oversight, long range planning and governance? Do you have a background in law, finance, marketing, nonprofit, business management, diversity and inclusion or fundraising? Are you willing to serve a four-year term in order to further the mission of the sport we love while helping to Grow the Game, Serve and Inspire Membership and Succeed Internationally? If so, USA Field Hockey encourages you to apply for one of several open Board of Director positions that must be filled by January 1, 2025. 

Open Director Roles 

Those applying for the Independent Director seat must meet the definition of Independence, as defined in Section 5.6 Independence of the USA Field Hockey. An Independent Director shall be determined to have no material relationship with USA Field Hockey either directly or through an organization that has a material relationship with USA Field Hockey.

The Nominating Committee is soliciting the general membership of USFHA nominations of individuals to serve as the At-Large Director. Those interested in the At-Large Director seat may nominate themselves.

The Nominating Committee is also soliciting coach members of USFHA nominations of individuals to serve as the Coach Director. Coach Directors are elected to the Board of Directors by the coach members of USFHA in an election that will occur November 9 – 22, 2024.

The Nominating Committee is also soliciting umpire members of USFHA nominations of individuals to serve as the Umpire Director. Umpire Directors are elected to the Board of Directors by the umpire members of USFHA in an election that will occur November 9 – 22, 2024.

Lifetime Members are eligible to vote in either the Coach or Umpire election if they purchase a Coach or Umpire Upgrade. To vote in the election, upgrades must be purchased by October 3, 2024.
