Son of Bob and Bonnie Grassi...Has a sister, Danielle...Nickname is Grassi...Began playing field hockey in 1997...Game Day Mantra: "Play with your heart, not your head."...Favorite Sports Quote: "Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play." - Mike Singletary...Best Words of Advice: "Relax and have fun." - Bob Grassi
To Grassi, an athlete doesn’t just play a sport with a jersey and shin guards but rather with one’s entire being. Introduced to field hockey by his elementary physical education teacher, Grassi joined a school team that competed in the Cal Cup U-12 Mixed Division every year. The rest was history. He has since competed in events such events as Pan American Championships and International Easter Tournament in Valkenswaard, Holland. Grassi enjoys the vast creativity, speed and excitement of the game, and working with his teammates to represent the red, white and blue serves as his greatest motivation.
