Homedes Dualde started playing field hockey when he was about 5 years old at RC Polo in Barcelona, Spain. His club has a really big hockey culture and a really good youth program that parents can take their kids to after school, so his mom would always take him to his club after school to play. Even during his non-official practice days, heI would go to the club to play on his own and would oftentimes be picked up to play with other age divisions that were training that day.
He has always felt like field hockey is in his blood as his grandfather, Eduardo Dualde, represented Spain as the captain of the field hockey team in Rome 1960 (Bronze medalist) and Tokyo 1964 (flag bearer) Olympic Games. Growing up, he always wanted to be like him and dreamt to one day be able to play in the Olympic Games in his honor.
Homedes Dualde played Division I tennis at Gonzaga University from 2016-2022.
