TORONTO, Canada — The final matches between USA and Canada in the 2025 CanAm Indoor Series wrapped up today at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. Each of the six divisions played one contest, with USA's Youth Women and Senior Women squads capping off the weekend with a 3-0 record.

The U.S. U-19 Men's National Indoor Team concluded their time in Toronto with a third loss to the Canada Akpro Select squad, but tallied a tournament high two goals. After going down 1-0 in the second minute, the young USA team found the tying goal a minute 12 when Zachary Canady (Suffolk, Va.) converted a set piece chance. It didn't take long for the hosts to regain the lead, notching three in the next five minutes. The red, white and blue managed to put in one more before halftime off of Aneet Singh's (Fremont, Calif.) field goal. After trailing 4-2 at halftime, USA conceded four goals in the second half to finish out the match with an 8-2 loss.

The third and final contest against Canada for the U.S. U-17 Women's National Indoor Team had similar cadence to their first two, disregarding an early lead from the hosts just four minutes in. Less than five minutes after going down, USA bounced back with three consecutive goals — two from Kiera Sack (Havertown, Pa.) and one from Madelynn Stahl (Palmyra, Pa.). Sack notched her second hat trick of the tournament with a penalty corner goal as the first quarter concluded, giving USA a 4-1 lead. Rebecca Block (Newtown Square, Pa.) got the next goal for the Junior Eagles, giving the team a 5-1 advantage at halftime. Back-to-back penaly corner goals from Elise Reagan (Royersford, Pa.) and Stahl were capped off by a fourth goal from Sack, as USA led 8-1 after the third frame. The final 10 minutes saw a second goal by Block.

A high-scoring match between the U.S. Men's National Indoor Team and Canada's Akpro Senior Select Indoor Team ended a competitive weekend between the two squads. Despite tying the score at 6-6 with two minutes left to play, the USA defense could not hold on, conceding two goals.

USA's Gerald Cutone got the scoring frenzy started with a field goal at the 8-minute mark, only to see Canada reply in the final minute of the first quarter. The second frame was Canada's to take, as the hosts notched three goals and touted a 4-1 lead at halftime. USA found renewed energy to kick off the third quarter, and saw goals from Cutone and Nico Campbell (Medfield, Mass.) to cut to deficiet to just 4-3. Goals from Canada in the 26th and 33rd minutes gave them a 6-3 lead over USA, but the Junior Wolves did not give up hope. In a much needed burst of offensive energy, Bennet Nobereit (Koenigstein, Germany) put up a hat trick, tying the match at 6-6 with just minutes to play. Unfortunately for the USA, Canada Akrpo found the net two more times to take a 8-6 victory.

A 6-3 win over Canada propelled the U.S. Women's National Development Indoor Team to a perfect 3-0 record at the 2025 CanAm Indoor Series. The hosts put up a fight in the first half, scoring three goals to USA's lone tally from Emily Berlinghof (Huntington, N.Y.) to take a 3-1 lead. The tides would turn in favor of the Eagles after halftime, with field goals from Chase Strohm (Hummelstown, Pa.) and Haley Elliot (Blue Bell, Pa.) at 22 and 27 minutes in, respectively. Tied at 3-3 heading into the final quarter, a penalty stroke made by Berlinghof gave USA the lead they needed. Alexandra Curtis (Richmond, Va.) and Maeve McGinley (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) added two more for USA in the final minutes to finish with a 6-3 victory.

It was it tough finish for the U.S. Men's Masters Indoor Team, who were shutout by Canada in their final match. The hosts found two early goals in the first minute, and never backed off of that offensive tempo. Canada scored twice in the next two quarters as well, holding a 6-0 advantage after just three frames. The USA defense kept Canada off the board for the final quarter, and were unable to capitalize on their two late penalty corner chances.

The U.S. Women's Masters Indoor Team finished out the weekend on a high note, taking a narrow 3-2 win and going 2-0-1 overall against Canada. A goal from USA's Kathy Frick (Doylestown, Pa.) in the first quarter stood as the only tally for two quarters, giving USA a 1-0 lead at halftime. Melissa Weiss (Ann Arbor, Mich.) doubled that lead at the 25-minute mark, which proved to be imperative when Canada scored off a penalty stroke four minutes later. Weiss again would find the necessary goal, putting USA up 3-1 early in the fourth quarter. The hosts converted a set piece in the 34th minute, but the USA defense held on for the 3-2 win.
